Map and alerts

The map shows the alerts that SOTA's feed currently lists, within the date range in the filters ("today" sets both dates to the current UTC date). Alerts of your own callsigns ("my callsign(s)" in the filters) are green. Times are in UTC or your local time zone (switch in the header).

Hovering a summit opens its card; a click keeps it open. On a phone, "filters ▾" opens the filters and the list.

Comparing summits

"set as reference" in a summit's card (or a click on a list row) picks a reference summit (yellow). Any other summit's card then shows the distance and height difference, and a dashed line connects the two. Pinned summits (pink) stay on the map and in the list.

Sharing

"share" copies a link with the date range, band and mode filters, the reference and the pinned summits. Whoever opens it sees the same summits; their own callsigns, theme and time display stay as they are, and their own pins are kept.

Data and privacy

This map needs the internet: alerts come from SOTA's public API, map tiles from the map server. It is unofficial and not affiliated with the SOTA Association. Summit positions come from a list shipped with the page, so a summit is looked up live only when it is missing there. Your filters and last view stay in this browser. After a change of language, notes already shown stay as they are; new ones come in the new language.
