adding a choke

Two SDR++ spectrum and waterfall screenshots of 7 to 26 MHz, before (top) and after (bottom) adding the choke: several strong peaks around 9.5 and 11.7 MHz in the top view are weaker in the bottom one

Adding a choke to the feedline of an end fed half wave antenna can help reduce common mode currents, which can improve the performance of the antenna and reduce interference. A choke is essentially an inductor that impedes the flow of common mode currents while allowing the desired RF signal to pass through.
